Jamie's Italian Bath - rating

I spend so much time in restaurants around the world that I now blog on my experiences.

My wife and I visited Jamie Oliver's restaurant in Bath and enjoyed a wonderful evening out.

The staff were all young, motivated, enthusiastic and helpful and the food wonderful.

We had seen the long queues throughout the day, so arrived early that evening.

We were warmly welcomed and told that there would be a short wait and given a small gadget that would buzz when our table was ready. While we were waiting we had a look at the menu and were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices.

We were soon seated and greeted by a wonderful waiter who told us about the specials and had our mouths watering.

I ordered the crab spaghetti and my wife the carbonara. The food was fresh, tasty and really reasonably priced (both around £10). We followed this with the lemon tart and banana and chocolate brownie which was wonderful.

The atmosphere was vibey, the staff efficient and overall an excellent evening and meal was enjoyed by my wife and I.

Hudson Steakhouse Bar & Grill - Bath - review

Hudson Grill, Bath - Overall rating

I spend so much time in restaurants around the world that I now blog on my experiences.

We were told that the Hudson Grill was an excellent steakhouse, so I was looking forward to trying it as I am a steak lover, enjoying some of the best steaks in South Africa, Australia, USA and my favourite - 'Rotisserie' in Hatch End.

My wife and I arrived at the restuarant really hungry and ready to enjoy a great steak. At the bar we were told that there was a 20 minute wait for a table and after a half hour I asked the barman what was happening. He told me that we could go up and when we reached upstairs, we saw that the place was empty except for two tables with people eating - what was the wait all about!!!

The service was mediocre with emotionles waitresses and the steaks plain, favourless and overpriced. We were totally disappointed and will not be visiting this steakhouse again.

Walking with Tigers in South Africa

In November last year I launched my book 'Walking with Tigers - Success Secrets of the World's Top Business Leaders' in South Africa.

The main launch was at Exclusive Books at Sandton Square, this is the largest bookstore in Africe.

Afterwards someone introduced themselves to me and asked if I would like to come to their private game reserve to play with some real baby tigers.

It turned out to be one of the most wonderful experiences of my life,take a look at the video....

Chang Mai, Thailand - a must see....

In January I was in Thailand again and this time spoke in Chang Mai. It was my first trip to this wonderful city which has a striking mountain backdrop, over 300 temples and a quaint historical aura. It's also a modern, friendly, internationally-flavoured city with much to offer - food, accommodation and shopping are all top quality and cheap, and the nights are relatively cool.

Thailand's second-largest city and the gateway to the country's north was founded in 1296. You can still see the moat that encircled the original city. Doi Suthep, topped by one of Thailand's holiest wats, rises behind the city, providing a dramatic backdrop and fine views of the city. As usual, I took some time to visit the Elephant sanctuaries and I hired a longtail boat and travelled up on the rivers, stopping at a local farmer for a breakfast of fresh fruits, wonderful.....

This is definitely a place to put on your travel itinerary.

Dubai - Holiday or Business - Ideal Destination

This has been a busy year with 2 trips to Dubai, and other trips all over Asia and Holland. In the next few months I have engagements all over the USA, Holland, Germany, Rome and Budapest, I think there is nothing better in life than exploring and enjoying the global market which is now so accessible to everyone.

Dubai keeps growing every time I go there and this time I stayed at a new hotel at what will be the biggest shopping centre in the world which is also at what will be the highest building in the world. Having travelled and worked in Dubai for the past 10 years, I feel that the infrastructure has not been able to keep up with the growth with traffic now being as crazy as London and it took me an hour to get through immigration where it normally would take 10 minutes.
